Emily Irene VanCamp is a Canadian actor who is known for her roles as lead actress in a variety of television shows and for her enthralling performances in movies. The actress is well-known on Canadian and American television. Emily was first interested in acting when she watched her sister Katie performing in a film. When she realized that acting was her love, she began taking acting classes as well as attend auditions. The first commercials she auditioned for were however, she was eventually selected as a child actress in the Canadian television show, Are You Fearful of the Darkness? The show had one episode in which she did not talk. The actress got her first big break at the age of 15, when she got a role as a regular on Glory Days, a WB show Glory Days. Emily's role in Glory Days, a show on WB that was cancelled nine episodes later, caught the attention and interest of Greg Berlanti from Dawson's Creek. Emily was a professional dancer, and began to take up photography as well. Teen listed her as one top actress under 20. In Maxim's Hot 100 2014 list ranked her at number 51.
